Our teams name is Te Whaanau Kawakawa! Room’s 8,9 and 13 had to choose from a list of New Zealand native trees including Kowhai and Manuka. We got to vote once for our favourite tree. Perhaps when you are walking around your neighbourhood you could see how many different trees you can spot! What can you find out about them? Are they native to New Zealand and what makes them special? Collect some of the falling leaves and take them home and do some leaf rubbings using a pencil or crayon. Let us know how you get on!
